No Man in His Wrong Heart
by Gary Allan

Transcribed by Jody Purswell

Intro:

For the intro, listen to the song to get the timing for the first three
chords. It will also let you know how to strum the G chord with the
hammer on's. This is a pretty cool intro that's really easy to play.

Repeat this twice before starting the verses
         G G
E--------3--------3---------
A--------2--0h2---2---------
D--------0-----0--0---------
G--7--5--0--------0--0h3p0--
B--8--5--0--------0---------
E--7--5--3--------3---------

G D/F#
On the inside flap of a matchbook cover
Em *Harmonic C
She made me the kind of offer
G D C
No man in a weak state could have run from
G
I tried to think
D/F#
What a gentleman would say
Em
That's turning that kind
C
Of opportunity away
G
I tried my best
   D C
To tell her I'm not the right one
G D G
Like no man in his wrong heart would've done

N.C. C G
I said no ma'am like no man would have
D
said if he wasn't in love
     G
With you the way I am
                 C D
It would've been easy for me to be a goner
    Em C D
But something a whole lot stronger made me run
     C D G (play intro lick)
Like no man in his wrong heart would've done

       G D/F#
Didn't want her to think that I wasn't flattered
Em C
Her interest in me, believe me it mattered
G D C
So I dropped several quarters in that old juke box
        G D/F#
I said ñI want you to dance all night on me
     C D
In a lucky man's arms, whoever he might be
       G D C
Then I hit that door like I was shot from a gun
     C D G
Like no man in his wrong heart wouldÍve done

I said no ma'am
like no man
Would have said if he wasn't in love
With you the way I am
It would've been easy for me to be a goner
    G C D
But something a whole lot stronger made me run
Like no man in his wrong heart would've done
     G C
Like no man in his wrong heart *Repeat and fade

*Harmonic
Strum the Em and play a 5th fret harmonic on the D and G strings.
Listen to the record to get the timing for the strumming and to place
the harmonics.
