The Wonderful Cross
Matt Redman

This is a little different than he plays it but is sounds really cool!

D2
When I survey the wonderous cross
On which the Price of Glory dies
My richest gain I cound but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

D2
See from his head, his hands, his feet
sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did e'r such love and sorrow meet
or thorns compose so rich a crown

         G D/F# G D/F#
O the wonderful Cross, Oh the wonderful Cross

          G Bm7 C9 Asus7
Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live

          G D/F# G D/F#
Oh the wonderful Cross, Oh the Wonderful Cross

          G Bm7 C9 Asus7
All who gather here by grace draw near and bless your name

This song sounds really cool on the acoustic when you tune the low E down to a D and play it open the whole time.

There is actually another verse to this song it goes like this:

Were the whole realm of natrue mine
That werer an offering far too small
love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all.

Also the song wasn't written by Matt Redman, it was written by Isacc Watts and the chorus was arranged by Chris Tomlin. sorry but this is true! Thanks! Guitarmanjer.

hey, nice job here. I used what you posted to make my own tweaks that sound cool. Like where you have D2 for the verses i made this riff based on the intro.

if follows the vocals and what he plays at the beginning but has the base of the D chord to kinda make it fuller and easier to sing to.

very nice tab, keep it up
