Suckerpunch
Five Iron Frenzy
(Reese Roper/Scott Kerr&Dennis Culp)

This is the version I play, just because I cant do B chords
very well, and I find this one easier to play

(verse 1)
G
Coke bottle glasses, Im sitting in the corner with my
C G
finger up my nose, and my shoelaces untied again,
D G D
another day of school with no friends. (whoa-ohwhoa-oh)
G C
Social outcast, two grades ahead in math with my high-
G
water pants, giving meaning to pencil neck geek, a
D G
dork or so to speak tounge in cheek.

(you can play this little interlude here by just going back
and forth from D to G)

(pre-chorus)
C G
They’re all sucker punching me, get in line for a
C D
wedgie. All I want, and all I need is someone who

believes in me...

(chorus)
GDC G D G
A song sung for underdogs, for all the left out. A
DC G D G
flag flying for losers somewhere in the heavens. The
DC G D G D C
God of everlasting comfort believed in me. Loved me
G D G
when I was faithless, he still died for me.

(verse 2)
G
Junior-high schooler, with pencials in my pocket and
C G
my trapper keeper busted, spilling papers and books on
D G
the floor, not wanting 7th grade anymore.
D
(whoa-ohwhoa-oh)
G C
Upper-class clown, acting like a goof to be accepted
G
by my peers, giving meaning to pencil neck geek, a
D G
dork or so to speak, tounge in cheek.

(pre-chorus)

(chorus)

And thats it! This version is really easy, but I think it
sounds great. Any questions, email me: Albertkids@aol.com
