This song looks somewhat hard as a tab, but if you listen to the CD,
it's
reallyeasy. There's no leads or nothing, so it sounds dead unless you
play along with the CD,or have a horn section at your disposal. If 2
numbers have a dash between them, play the chord change quicker. Like I
said, listen to the CD and you'll know what I mean. Enough of my
nitpicking and/or analyzing, here's the chart:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slightly Overdriven Vintage 50's Guitar Sound
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 (Ska strum)
3 (Swing strum the rest)
3 1-2
Frank was a contractor who got up every mornin'
3 1-2
Skinnin' cats and fixin' cars his day was far from boring
3 1-2
Suped up Ford, a V-8 289
3
Runnin' down those punks, was always on his mind
4, 3
6 5-4 3
Frank -- was a contractor, is he after you?
6 5-4 3
Frank -- was a contractor, is he after you?
3
3 1-2
The Ford was wired for nitro, a cannister sat in the back
3 1-2
Ten inch slicks, rachet shift, smoke and rubber in his tracks
3 1-2
Frank didn't like us, we just wanna have some fun
3
We played our music, and he put us on the run
4, 3
6,5,4,3...6,5,4,3
3
3 1-2
Frank started the beast, smoke spewed from the trunk
3 1-2
Oil sprayed from the hood, the can of the nitro junk
3 1-2
The car swelled, then exploded, flying across the street
3
Frank slowly stepped out, staggering to his feet
4, 3
6,5,4,3...6,5,4,3
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same as above, but w/ medium speed tremolo
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3, 3
3
And so our story ends
3
Of the psyco contractor guy
3
The moral of the story is:
3 3
When Frank's around, turn the music down,
3 3 3
Or you better learn how to run fast
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
No tremolo
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
<1/2 Chorus>
6 5 4 3
Frank was a contractor, is he after you?
