NOTE: For ease of chording, I use normal tuning.  However JMT uses drop D.
Thus if you want to use the drop D - move everything on the low E up two
frets, and the * becomes the open string note (D).  Also the last 2 bars
of the riff (from last Gm) are used throughout the piece to tie parts
togeather**

The tablature shown here is based on using a guitar tuned normally or with E string tuned down to D. John Michael Talbot uses D tuning meaning all strings are tuned down two steps not just the E string (E B G D A E becomes D A F C G D). The D tuning makes playing his songs much easier than using the bar chords as shown in this tablature. The following page will get you started in the right direction. Chords two steps down must be substituted. I will try to post the corrected version. I am amazed no one seems to know this!

Tune all 6 strings down two steps (D tuning). Play chords as shown.
(But, technically, of course, they are 2 steps lower)
Almost all music by John Michael Talbot is written and played this way.
