There is Only You
Smalltown Poets
Jason Hobbes (boyonastring1@juno.com)

INTRO:
G D C 2X

VERSE 1: -(Play Intro until noted.)
Growing more uneasy with every question asked
It seems you're jealous of my interests
And the graven things I've cast

               D D-C D D-C
Waking resolutions of twenty years or more
                 D D-C D D-C
That I would disallow golden cows my favorite anymore

PRE-CHORUS: -(Play C D)
Your wishes set in stone, I've broke the first of ten
I've cleared this temple out, come take your place again

CHORUS: -(No guitar this time)
G A D G A D
There is only you, there is only you.

VERSE 2:
                       D D-C D D-C
Tiptoe from an awkward scene, not fooling anyone
                                     D D-C
Am I dumb enough to kneel with my accusers?
                   D D-C
Or brave enough to run

G D
Petty daggers bounce weakly off my back
G D
I'm leaving breathless gods and secrets in my tracks

REPEAT PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS 2: -(No guitar this time)
G A D G A D
There is only you, There is only you, believe me!
G A D G A D
There is only you, There is only you

INTERLUDE: -(Bass only)
B G 4X

BRIDGE: -(Play Interlude 4X)
To a thousand generations
Of the faithful man
You will show your favor Lord

This is dead on. I love the solo part. Jeremy

Well after listening to the song a few time the first chord in the verse is a G not a D, so it goes G......D.C. And in the solo the last three notes are wrong and I don't hear anything like those in the song. Other than that a really good tab.
