A D (play w/out F# on ist string)
What am I gonna be when I grow up
E D
and how am I gonna make my mark in history
A D
and what are they gonna write about me when I'm gone?
B D
These are the questions that shape the way I think about what matters
A D
Well I have no guarantee of my next heartbeat
E D
and my world's too big to make a name for myself.
A D
And what if no one wants to read about me when I'm gone?
B D
It seems to me that right now's the only moment that matters...
Chorus:
D A
You know the number of my days
D A
so come paint your pictures in the canvas in my head
D F#m
come write true wisdom on my heart
B D
B
and teach me the power of a moment, the power of a moment
D
the power of a moment--yeah.
A D
In your kingdom where the least is greatest
E D
the weak are given strength and fools can be found wise
A D
Forever brushes up against a moment's time
B D
B
leaving impressions and drawing me into what really matters.
(chorus)
Bridge:
E B
Get so distracted by my bigger seeds
E B
show me the importance of the simple things
like a word or seed, a thorn, a nail
F#m
and a cup of cold water...(chorus 2x)
Repeat and fade out on D--A

| jojomhenderson - 2006-04-18 | | okay, like on the end of the verse that says "about what matters", you need to go back to B on that one part. thats what he does on the WoW 1999 cd, and if you don't go back to it, it breaks up the natural flow of the song. I would bring the flow of the song into consideration the next time you tab a song. but nice song otherwise. |
