Recorded by Petra for the album "God Fixation" (1998 Word Records)

My friend Richard figured this out. Listen to the song to get the
rhythm.

Intro (play twice): G Gmaj7 Em C6
                             G Gmaj7 Em C6 (single strum last
two chords)

Verse 1:
G Gmaj7 Em C6
I wear my seatbelt in the car / I buckle up for safety
G Gmaj7 C6
I run for cover from the storm
    G Gmaj7
Em C6
I wear a Band-Aid on my knee / I look both ways when crossing
           G Gmaj7 C6
And I flee any danger I can see

Lead-in 1:
D C6
And if I try each day to save my life in every way I can
D Am C6
How could I understand the way You died for me?

Chorus 1:
A E7
'Cause I don't know if I could even if I think I would
       D
If I had to die for someone
       A
If I had to die for someone else
A E7
How could I ever give my life to set the guilty free
          D
When I cannot imagine
       A Gbm G Gmaj7 Em
If I had to die for someone else like me
   C G Gmaj7 C6 (2 strums)
Someone else like me

Verse 2:
I keep away from falling rocks and I don't play with matches
I lock the door, I don't know why
It seems to me, I'm much to old to wear a scarf out in the cold
But I want to live until I die

Lead-in 2:
I guess I love my life I little more than I should love it
And if I had to, I don't know if I could lay it down

Chorus 2:
A E7
'Cause I don't know if I could even if I think I would
       D
If I had to die for someone
       A
If I had to die for someone else
 A E7
How could I ever give my life to set the guilty free
         D
When I cannot imagine
       A Gbm
If I had to die for someone else like me

Bridge:
E7 D Gbm
And I am glad that You are not at all like me
E G
'Cause You laid down Your life
                Gbm
And did it willingly
E D
It still amazes me to know
      C
It's me that You were thinking of
 D G Gmaj7 Em
C6 (play twice)
No one else could have a greater love
                 G Gmaj7 Em C6 G Gmaj7 C6
A greater love

(Repeat Chorus 1)

Chorus 3:
A E7
'Cause I don't know if I could even if I think I would
       D
If I had to die for someone
       A
If I had to die for someone else
A E7
How could I ever give my life to set the guilty free
          D
When I cannot imagine
       A Gbm A E7
If I had to die for someone else like me
       D
If I had to die for someone
    A A E7
Could I die for someone?
       D
If I had to die for someone
    A A E7
Could I die for someone?

(fade out)

i think your verses are wrong because you mede it G Gmaj7 Em C6, but can make G D Em C, and sounds great but whit an capo 1, and in the chorus, you do E7 and i think that is simplily E. PEACE and GOD bless you.
