This song is spiecal to me becuase in 1974 I was hitch hiking through
California.  Me and my buddy had been on the road for about two months,
and we stood by the road looking rather down, most of the time. The
following year, back home in Illinois late one night we wete half watching
a late night I think it was called Insight. They were playing this song
while showing shots of people along the road with their thumbs out. My
sister screamed "its you its you!" There on the TV setting on the side of
the road looking lost and lonely was me and buddy.
