sorry dude, the chords you have tabbed don't match the chord name and it doesn't even match the song.
The electric during the intro is playing a rift from the D major scale and looks like this:

G|---7-7-7-6-6-6-4-4--|
He plays that while the other guitar plays a high D - A chord progression during the intro

The rest should look like this:

you got some of the chords in there, just not in the right place and wern't labeled correctly.

You're both correct...the electric plays LIKE a D to A riff in the verse. Actually, if you hold a D2 shape then drop your pinkie to the C# (the third of the A triad) then you've got the voicing played by Mainstay. The chords, however, are Bmin to G. All of the B's in this song are B minor, and all the C# are a C#aug (augmented: sharp the 5, ie A instead of Ab in the C#). Awesome song thanks for getting me started on it. Now, if we can just tab out the lead we'll have it.
