JesusLuvr, many bands use strange tunings to escape the horrible 3rd B. Its harder to play chords because the notes are in fourths till the b string. Players like Eddie Van Halen play with a slightly flat b string so they can harmonize it. But,sometimes, bands tune it that low in order to make the strings over-vibrate. this may be the case, or maybe skillet just likes low tunings. Just trying to help

Rock On!

I just wish that bands could stick with standard tuning. Oh Well!
God Bless All Of Ya!

skillet loves the horror type tuning argh (best song from them tho)
heisouronlyhope - 2007-06-02
ahh darn it, I can't tune this low or my strings will break, I know how to put it in this tuning but same here anytime I go from standard to flats or even lower then keep going back and forth my strings end up breaking.
KBGuitarist18 - 2008-03-10
The whole reason for having alternate tunings on any song is so that the guitarist can play things he/she couldn't play in standard tuning. Standard tuning is the most basic tuning. The ability to use other tunings shows that you are not limited to just one tuning. It's all guitar and you can shred in any tuning whether it's a minor, drop or split tuning. It all works as longas you get the music out there. I personally hate playing in standard unless I'm playing an acoustic rythm part to a song. I love Drop-B. I prefer eny Drop tuning to standard but hey that's just me. LOL. Happy shredding.
Good job on this tab Adam. You got it pretty close. Keep it up.
jedet02 - 2008-09-01
Just a quick question.

Ive seen plenty of live videos and my son, who saw them live, mentioned....alot of songs they capo on the second fret. Even for this song, so what gives.

It would just save time switching the tuning from one song to the other.
