Comments about this tab
| thetrinityrocks - 2006-09-04 | Adam k, i havnt even tried your tab out yet but judging by your past work(stacks and stacks of tabs on my desk tabbed by you) I already know its probably pretty righteous. Thanks in advance. Ive been waiting for you to tab it.
Gods blessed you alot, awesome work. |
| Adam K - 2006-09-05 | | By the way, anyone that didn't know, this song is available on iTunes. |
| Semipro - 2006-09-21 | | Adam, im just wondering why you tabbed out the violin chords for the beginning? Sure it doesnt hurt, but I wanna know how to play the real chords which they actually play at concerts. So you please figure out what it is? Thanks, your the man. |
| Adam K - 2006-09-21 | | those are the real chords that they play just listen real close. Yes it is the same thing as the symphony plays, but that is what the guitar plays also. You can especially hear it in the ending. |
| Semipro - 2006-09-24 | | K, You're right about that, but what about ben? In the first verse doesnt he palm mute 4 times instead of 3? |
| tl_guitarnut - 2006-09-24 | | who cares, at least he's got the right chord |
| Adam K - 2006-09-24 | | nope listen close he only palm mutes 3 times. |
| Semipro - 2006-09-24 | | You play your guitar way too much lol, thanks |
| Semipro - 2006-09-26 | | Does anyone know which effect pedal ben uses for his distortion? |
| tl_guitarnut - 2006-09-27 | I'm not sure, but I think I've spotted a correction, in the bridge it should be
F# | ---------------|
C# | -----0-----0-0-|
G# | -8-7-0-8p7-0-0-|
C# | -----0-----0-0-|
but, I may be wrong, excellent tab by the way. |
| Adam K - 2006-09-28 | | yep, my bad. |
| Semipro - 2006-09-29 | | Can someone tell me which pedals skillet uses? I've heard he uses TurboRAT and Big Muff, but I want to be sure. So where could I find this information? Thanks |
| mr clean - 2006-10-03 | duuuuuude. awesome tab. and if you are willing to tab it out, since i tried and failed...in the pre-chorus when he sings "ive died," they do like a fast little riff. its kinda hard to hear it on their myspace.... you can hear it better on their CD....
WHICH I GOT TODAY
WOOO |
| Andrew S. - 2006-10-09 | | Does anyone know what brand guitars skillet uses? |
| Adam K - 2006-10-09 | | They use(d)[?] GMP guitars. I don't know about the new album. |
| drumbum_nzbpt - 2006-10-10 | | hey i saw skillet in concert two days ago and they are still using the same old guitars they always have. ben is still using 2 GMPs one in drop D for all of the old stuff and all of the new stuff (except Savior) is played in drop B when they play live. ben used a capo on the second fret to blay rebirthing to make it in Db. |
| tl_guitarnut - 2006-10-10 | | Yeah, I've seen videos were they do that. |
| Andrew S. - 2006-10-11 | | Do they use GMP acoustics? i didnt know they made those |
| skilletmasta77 - 2006-10-14 | | when i seen skillet in concert ben and kory played it with the capo on the 2nd fret i thought just a tip i'am no tabing expert thats for sure haha keep rockin guys |
| skilletmasta77 - 2006-10-14 | | when i seen skillet in concert ben and kory played it with the capo on the 2nd fret i thought just a tip i'am no tabing expert thats for sure haha keep rockin guys |
| Adam K - 2006-10-15 | | That makes more sense. but that still makes it Drop C# even though the guitar is in Drop B. |
| xcrunner1 - 2006-12-06 | Mr. Clean, the "i died" riff should go as follows (if the Ps and Hs clutter it up, just rewrite it w/o them):
Eb|14p13p11h13p11----11----------------11h13h14h19|
Bb|---------------14----14p12-11h12h14------------
| xcrunner1 - 2006-12-06 | or, transposed a string down, the section stays within the same 5 frets (which is what i think Ben does)
Eb|---------------------------------------------19|
Bb|19p18p16h18p16----16----------------16h18h19---|
Gb|---------------18----18p16-15h16h18------------
| Xo PePpEr NoSe - 2006-12-10 | | whoa...this is good...its REALLY hard though...im not very good at guitar though...so people are probly like "whoa this is easy" but its amazing...i can actually play it finally!! good job!! |
| Xo PePpEr NoSe - 2006-12-10 | | oh ya...good job xcrunner1 tabbing that really high part...it sounds right |
| guitarhero234 - 2006-12-31 | | I got to see them live at Aquire the fire this year. good song man. |
| neal's_beard - 2007-01-19 | Very good tab!
I think the 2nd chord in the chorus has an a1:
-8-
-5-
-5- |
| AudioACanuck - 2007-01-27 | | Hey man your'e like the best tabber ever! But one thing in the bidge, it sounds like they are playing muted chords on the first and third time they play it? The second and first are right fer sure, just not sure about the other 2. |
| heisouronlyhope - 2007-03-21 | | I don't want to sound whinie but there is a capo on second fret, if you don't believe me check it out for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfkwOo_tRx0 |
| tl_guitarnut - 2007-04-14 | | Thats because most of Skillets songs are in drop B, so they have to capo up two. If you really want it to be exact, tune your guitar down to drop B, put a capo on the second fret and play it how it's written. |
| J'strings - 2007-04-19 | | I'm very new here. I play guitar, but I'm not sure how to do the drop tuning. I understand what it is, I just need advice, I really wnat to play this song. Thanks |
| J'strings - 2007-04-20 | | Hey, never mind that, I figured it out. 1 thing though, the P's, the pull offs, what does that mean & how do I do it? |
| heisouronlyhope - 2007-06-02 | | Adam, dude quit playing songs in flats, not every band plays in flats, Kutless does in some of their songs, but not skillet, I was watching a video of Skillet going threw their gear and they were showing you their guitars and what strings they use and Ben said his guitars are all in drop D so did Corey. |
| heisouronlyhope - 2007-06-02 | http://www.guitarworld.com/skillet watch: skillet:raw! A rehearsal space tour.
and you'll see.
Adam, your an amazing Guitarist, but seriously whats up with all the flat tuning? |
| Adam K - 2007-08-29 | | It has already been explained. They tune their guitar in Drop B and use a capo on the 2nd fret for this song, thus making it Drop C# tuning. |
| TheFeelGoodDrag - 2007-09-10 | | if you guys are still unsure about Skillets gear like guitar and pedals, and amps n stuff, thers an interview with them on youtube, if you type in skillet interviews you should be able to find it along with other stuff....so you kinda have to search for it but they go in detail to what string guages they use and everything itz pretty great |
| 82lbpizza - 2007-12-28 | | The / don't mean slide in this tab do they, are they only separating the notes, I'm confused. |
| skillet G - 2008-09-28 | | is this the tab that Ben Kasica beacuse i only want his not Ben and Korey Cooper |
| manic dr1ver - 2008-11-19 | You are unflipping believible YOU ARE AWESOME this is like 99.999999999999999999999% CORRECT

UNFLIPPING BELIEVILBE!!!! |
| panhead9119 - 2009-01-11 | in some of the videos on youtube, people play the intro differently. they also play the little riff in the end of the verse different (unless i'm not reading it right).
he also plays the open in the verse 4 times not three, listen to the live DVD/CD. |
