Artist: Michael W. Smith
Songs: Lord, Have Mercy
Worship Again CD
2002 Reunion Records

I was learning this song for a small group worship time and translated the
recorded version into a simpler chord progression. I figured those of you who
play for a small group or are asked last minute to come up with something would
appreciate this easy-on-the-fingers version. I apologize in advance for my
mislabeling the chords (mostly giving them made-up names for the sake of this
tab, hah), so feel free to correct me.

And, as always, if you want the lyrics with the chords, or if you want a
different key, e-mail me at phillip@ptaurora.com.

”Lord, Have Mercy” - Michael W. Smith

   Em2 C2 G Dsus D A2 (C+) B2
e-|-3-|-3-|-3-|-3-|-2-|-3-|-3-|-3-|
b-|-3-|-3-|-3-|-3-|-3-|-1-|-1-|-3-|
g-|-0-|-0-|-0-|-2-|-2-|-0-|-0-|-0-|
d-|-2-|-2-|-0-|-0-|-0-|-2-|-2-|-0-|
a-|-2-|-3-|-2-|---|---|-0-|-3-|-2-|
e-|-0-|---|-3-|---|---|---|---|---|

:: (C+) means optional if you want to play a C instead of A.

(Be creative on the intro, but I would simply strum a G-C2 or Em2-C2 twice to
open)

Verses: Em2 C2 G Dsus-C2
          Em2 C2 G Dsus-D
          Em2 C2 G Dsus-C2
          Em2 C2 G Dsus D

Chorus: A2(C+) B2
          G Dsus-C2
          A2 B2 G Dsus-D
[Repeat] (on second time)..G Dsus-D G

(After the chorus you could strum the G-C2 / Em2-C2 again to transition to the
next verse)

[Play chorus twice after third verse]

:: This would be a great song to transition into a prayer time while strumming
softly.
