I play this in Drop D, but if you want to play with the cd, you have to take it down
a half-pitch, and play the verse part a fret down.

D-7~--2-2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3-3--5-5-5-5-5--

Then he plays the same chords only, lets them ring

Verse:
E-------------------------8~----------
B--10~--8~-------------10~------------
G-----------10~--9-10~-------10~-9-10~
D-------------------------------------

There's gotta be something that doesn't require you to go from the 2nd fret all the way to the 19th...:/
hop_goblin - 2005-12-30
there probably could be, but i've watched him do it in concert twice, and he goes all the way up to the 19th.....it's not that hard once you get used to it.-if you find somethin, put it on a comment

oh cool. Never mind then. If Randy does it that way then I have no problems. :)

on the intro, the last time before the verse is:
E--------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------
G--------------------------------------
D-7~--2-2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3-3--0-0-0-0-0--
A-7~--2-2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3-3--0-0-0-0-0--
D-7~--2-2-2-2-2--3-3-3-3-3--0-0-0-0-0--

he goes to drop C# for this song

If you don't want to go all the way up to the 19th fret powerchord, you can just play this:

d -14
a -14
D -12

its the exact same powerchord. OR: If that is still too far away, play this:

b -10
g -9
d -7

But that chord is kind of...hard to position I guess.
