This is the tab for the song "Prodigal" by Casting Crowns.
This is all done on a acoustic guitar, but you could use an electric.

 Capo 4

 Chords Am, F, C, G

Play these the whole song. (I got this off the other guy who tabbed this song
so thanks goes to him.) When you play these chords, Strum down once, then snap
your wrist down on the strings to get the sound of the song.

here is the tab for the intro:

e----------------------------------------------------------------------------
b---1----1-----1---1-------------1---1--------1---1--------------------------
g-----2----2p0---2---2h3p0---------2----2h3p0---2---4p2p0--------------------
d--------------------------3-2-0-------3-------------------3-2-0-------------
a----------------------------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------------------------

They play this after the chorus too but with a slight variation.

This is played after the chorus:

 e-----------------------------------
 b-------0h1------1------------------
 g-----2--------2--------------------
 d--0h3-------3----------------------
 a-----------------------------------
 E-----------------------------------

Thats about it!!!! I play this with the cd and it sounds about correct
but let me know what you think.

 God bless,
 Jesusmyking

Last 2 lines of the chours didnt sound right to me with Am F C G. I came up with
F Am G F
I drag Your name back through the mud That You first found me in
F Am G F
Not worthy to be called Your son Is this to be my end.

does this work for anyone else?????

The F Am G F works. I even thought F Am G Dm7 sounded OK.

The tab is great but, it sounds like it should be like this:
e----------------------------------------------------------------------------
b---1----1-----1---1-------------1---1--------1---1--------------------------
g-----2----2p0---2---2h4p0---------2----2h4p0---2---4p2p0--------------------
d--------------------------3-2-0-------3-------------------3-2-0-------------
a----------------------------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 3 sounds kinda off key to me. This 4 sounds much better.
Good job on the tab :)

not trying to say that there is anything wrong with this way of playing it , sounds great . the way i learned it was wis capo on 2nd fret and a Bm , G , D9-D (quick hammer-on) A chord progression . But like I said the 4th fret capo way sounds great as well .

iwasa playing along with the song and i thought it sounded like this

no capo
F#m A E B

although there were a couple parts were the F#m didn't quite fit. it fit in the after chorus but not the end of the chorus

I always played it acoustic on capo 2, with the chords being:
Bm, G, Dsus D (The Dsus is just a quick flick to get that high note, then drop) Then A. This works well if you have a low vocal range
