Comments about this tab
| underground - 2005-09-18 | | great job. One thing, at the end of the riff you don't hit D-2, it is D-4. It seems right other than that. |

For some reason I can't post my own tab, I don't know what I am doing wrong.
So I decided to do it here. I have most of "The Last Day of 1888".
This is a great song in DROP D.
It starts with the audio stuff then jumps into this riff.
NOT WRITTEN IN RYTHEMS hold for 4 counts
D-11--9--6--7
A-11--9--6--7
D-11--9--6--7
I don't have the complete verse. There is a guitar doing high picking that I
don't have. It is probubly a power-chord. Help if you can find it.
Despite that the lead plys this small lick before the words start
A-9--6-7
The Chorus is the intro riff except it goes through twice.
D-11--9--6--7
A-11--9--6--7
D-11--9--6--7 repeat
Palm mute the bridge
D-11--9--6--2
A-11--9--6--2
D-11--9--6--2 repeat about four times I think
During the bridge there are some high notes that i don't have.
Go back into the chorus and end on the high chord
D-11
A-11
D-11
This is right, I am pretty sure. Please help with the rest, just thought I would get it out here.
Awesome song, rock out |
| HolyBlood8 - 2005-09-26 | | the reason i have d-2 is cuz it's in standard tuning it's E-2 |
| underground - 2005-09-26 | I understand, you are right.
But the chorus, it switches every time, there are 4 chords in the chorus. I think the first one is right but it is not perfect. |
| underground - 2005-10-05 | | Hey, my tab did come up. Well, now two times the people see it. |
| CHyers - 2005-10-26 | Hey, I saw them at Brighthouse feild in Clearwater Florida and i even talked to the lead singer and guitarist, they play this in drop d and on the chorus Bar it all the way to the top of the chord (looks like this)
--x-x-| x8 then --x-x-| x8
--x-x-| --x-x-|
--9-9-| --4-4-|
--9-9-| --4-4-|
--7-7-| --2-2-|
--7-7-| --2-2-|
Rmember this is all in Drop D so it gives a cool overone tonality to it. |

| HolyBlood8 - 2005-11-17 | | which song are you talking about????????? |
| gnarlynarwhal1 - 2006-02-16 | | this song is SO good, it's got a catchy tune. |
| gnarlynarwhal1 - 2006-02-16 | | hmm, i can't figure out the chorus, it doesn't sound right. |
| akaukal - 2006-03-22 | | the chorus just alternates between the A, F#m, and B power chords |
| young_rocker_06 - 2006-03-28 | | when tuning to drop d, do i take all my strings a half step up or down or what? |
| christ 4 real - 2006-04-07 | | for drop d, you turn your low e string down one step. its easier with an electric tuner |
| F.O.G. - 2006-05-11 | for young rocker if you dont have a tuner on hand you tune to the low E string 7th fret and the A or tryto do octaves on the other d string.
A 0
E 7 |
