you play, e.g.
A-0 that's for standard. For drop D A-0 For drop C is it A-0 A-0
E-5 E-7 E-8 or E-9
I really need help with this cause alot of the songs i like are in drop C.

for A, play -5- on the high D-string, and match them
for high D, play -5- on the G-string, and match the tones
for G, play a -6- on the B-string, and ""
for B, play a -5- on the high E-string, and ""
and finally for E, play a -5- on what used to be your B-string and match the tones, and you're in Drop-C!!
if you want it to be really accurate tho, buy a CHROMATIC tuner, there are fender ones for $50...it is really worth the money

| hmdet - 2006-04-30 | Just saw Pillar live and upclose to Noah. Studied him like a book the whole time. He plays the verse on the 4th & 5th strings. He also barres the bottom 4 strings while doing it. I tried it yesterday and it makes is so much easier to do.
Also, if you've ever gone to one of their concerts you know they always go out and talk with the fans, sign autographs etc. I talked with him about how he plays this song, he confirmed it is done in drop C. I saw some other tabs with debate over drop Db. This dude is so outrageously cool to talk with and really seems genuine when you're not drooling over the fact he is talking with you. I think he liked talking guitar, instead of the typical drooling teenager telling him how great they are. These guys are without question the coolest dudes on the Christian rock scene. |
