Shawn McDonald- Live in Seattle
(Recorded Live in Seattle on January 18, 2005.)
Song: Perfectly Done

This song only has 2 chords throughout. Listen closely for the "soulful"
strumming pattern.
Standard EADGBE Tuning

Verses: E
Chorus: E, A2, E

You may want to throw in a quick open "no-chord" with the E, here and
there.

Awesome CD from our brother Shawn!

What is A2? I keep seeing that in some songs and I never know what the 2 means. Sorry...haha...I'm new to this stuff. I've only been playin the guitar for 8 months.

Thanks!!

take your standard e chord and move your middle finger and ring finger both down one string.

hey when I play this song I play E and then E7 then back to E and that over and over again and the course just A2. The E7 things sounds right but I'm not sure :( let me know if that sounds wrong or something

There is a video of Shawn playing this song live. And in the video he is playing to far up the neck for it to be the E and A2. So i tinkered around and this seemed to sound the best.

And just for kicks, maybe sometimes lay your finger over the 7th fret and try to get all the harmonics in a strum in place for the second chord. His partner seemed to do that a lot. Hope this sounds better.
