Shadow of Angels
Building 429
Tuning: C# standard (C# F# B E G# C#)
You'll need heavy guage strings for this tuning, or else it'll be
floppy sounding.
Electric guitars seem to be in normal E-standard tuning.
Add some nice stereo delay and/or stereo reverb to the acoustic guitar, but
not too much.
First, in C# tuning (the acoustic guitar).
INTRO:

| GuitarOfGold - 2005-03-25 | | That chord I called an F#m9 is actually called F#m7sus. I wasn't paying attention to my music theory when I typed it. |
| GuitarOfGold - 2005-03-25 | | Also, I forgot to mention that near the end of the verse where it goes from F#m7sus to E/G#, the low F# note slides to the G#. |
| apgb04 - 2005-07-21 | Hey awesome tab but your kinda wrong about the original key on the Cd itself
has the key of B major Not Bb major so all of the original chords you wrote are a tad of.
Just a hint from one musician to another
God Bless you and your talent |
| vidoman - 2006-04-14 | | hey, building 429 just came to our town, so i went to get tha auto graph thing and all and the main singer told me about this tuning he uses on about all his songs, he said it's way easier. it's called DADGAD. u dont hafta get the stonger strings for the tuning cause he tuned my acustic to it and played shadow of angels. but i just commented to tell u bout tha tuning to see if u knew about it. God bless |
| Jesusrocker34 - 2006-05-16 | hey vidoman, thats prtty cool. do you play the chords the same way? if you dont how do you play them?
Thanks, Jesusrocker34 |
| GuitarOfGold - 2006-06-18 | Yeah, they use that tuning on almost all of their songs (I think). I'm not big on alternate tunings when I play, so I didn't really even think of putting that in.
It's also possible (for the original key) that when I tuned my guitar back up, I didn't tune it up far enough, thus giving me the wrong chords for standard tuning. It's been forever since I played it, but whatever. |
| wrcstudministry - 2006-09-12 | | hey guys i dont know how to chart this out, but i got a new "cut-capo" (inspired by shane&shane) well it's a capo that has only the A,D,and G string played and E,B,and high E are all open, so it forms an eisier way to play the chords. if you want more information you can email me about it and i'll try to explain it better wrcstudentministry@yahoo.com |
