Yeah its done in octaves on the a string. It also sounds good if you drop the bottom E to a D, but then you have to figure out a way to make a B after 4 bars...

I don't think it's actually played in drop D otherwise u can't play a G chord. And the electric plays a G bar chord. I've seen it played and i don't think the electric guitar plays a Bm, it just plays the D again while the other guitar plays the Bm.

These r the chords 4 the Always & Forever album version

Intro/Chorus:
D,D,Bm,G

Verse:
D,Bm,G,D

Pre-Chorus:
A, Em,
G................[for the "King of all the earth" repeat]

Bridge:
Bm, A/C#, D/F#, G [x3].........but don't get confused on the harmonies
Bm, A, D [into Pre-Chorus] sometimes different guitars play different
chord formulas depending on mood.
So check which sound u want & play it...
If u want it heavier don't play A/C#, just A straight & definately hit the D/F#
If u want more climax then just play D instead of D/F# coz it climbs higher

the rhythm would then go like this:

|---2-2-2--x-x-x--2-2-2-2-2-3--
|---3-3-3--2-2-2--3-3-3-3-3-3--
|---4-4-4--2-2-2--2-2-2-2-2-0--
|---4-4-4--2-2-2--0-0-0-0-0-0--
|---2-2-2--4-4-4------0-0-0-2--
|---------------------2-2-2-3--

the key is that u listern

Hey, playing it with the octaves is how i play it..sounds pretty right to me,
starting on D...

Also...for that violin part...guitars can play this...

G--777-666----------
D----------7777/99--

Sounds good..well i like it!
