Hey Everybody,
Just thought I'd tab this out since I figured it out and I've really been
looking forward to seeing more Day Of Fire tabs. They're one fof my favorite
new bands and I think they'll do great. Anyway, on to the tab....
Tuning---Dropped D (even the acoustic part)

You hafta play this part really quick, sliding
up works good. If you can't play it you can just
play the main riff 4x.
Repeat 4 times then Palm Mute thru the verse (listen to the cd to get it exact)

Bridge (Acoustic Picking)
This is very close to the cd. If you think it's wrong you might be playing
it a little too slow or something, I'm sure it's close.

Repeat 3 times and then on the forth time slow it down and skip
the 2s and 4s and stay on the 555 for quite a while while the drummer
solos a little and then hit 444 and there you have it. I never told
how many times to play the riffs so you'll hafta do that yourself. Have fun!
The End
I think this tab is extremely accurate, and I hope it works for you. Please
rate it well if you like it, it took some time. Hope you enjoy it and Day of
Fire. Peace

| njsk8rboy - 2005-01-27 | | just so ya'll know Day Of Fire uses drop C tuning ill post throught the fire soon and youll see |
| disciple_777 - 2005-01-29 | Hey,
Day Of Fire might use Dropped C, but this song doesn't get that low, so you can jut play it this way. I just tabbed Through The Fire and it's in Db, but it never gets to Dropped C. I mean, you can play either one of these songs in Dropped C, but it's just higher up the neck. Hope this helps lessen some confusion.... Peace |
| mad_on_guitars - 2005-01-30 | | i think this song was played c#, anyhow ur tab is 100% i showed it to greg...good work man... by the way...the final notes on the chorus, try playing them barred on A string wich is the greg way...makes no difference to sound tho |
| disciple_777 - 2005-01-31 | Hey Thanks a ton man, it's good to know that it sounds good... I wish it was 5.00 accurate though, someone must not have been able to get it or something... Oh well, please rate this one well if you don't mind... Yeah the last part can be played lower on the fretboard if you don't feel like playing it so high up... But like you said, it sounds the same...
Thanks again man, glad to hear you liked the tab... Peace |
| njsk8rboy - 2005-02-28 | | SWEET the acoustic part ive been trying 2 figure it out thanks! |
| 7thDayBassman - 2005-04-16 | | o wait im so sure the 12th in the bridge should be a 12th fret, i think a 13 would sound better. |
| disciple_777 - 2005-04-20 | | Yeah you're right, I never noticed that it was messed up but it's supposed to be 13... Sorry everyone, typo.... |
| dredhead - 2005-09-11 | | this song can b playd in standard tuning, eadgbe, n is easier to play the 1st part etc |
| disciple_777 - 2005-09-30 | Dredhed,
Actually, you can't play it in standard tuning (EADGBE), because unless you have hands the size of connecticut, you can't play the bridge... And as for the intro, you can kinda play it in standard, but it's not correct, because you can't get to the E5, and you end up only playing the E root of the chord, and it's not right. Thanks for the comment, and just remember practice is the key... And once you learn it the right way, you'll be a lot happier about it.
Peace.
Got Jesus? |
| OSUdude10 - 2005-11-28 | i love the guitar to this song thx day of fire rox
|
| OSUdude10 - 2005-11-28 | | the pause is like three beats when u let the guitar fade away |
| akaukal - 2006-05-29 | | I play this is standard |
| cheddarblister - 2006-06-11 | this is a good tab... the only thing is if you play it in Db then you can play Through the Fire and Detainer back to back without retuning or anything...good for gigs and stuff...
just move everything on this tab up one fret and its good for Db.
Other than that, its a good tab!
Peace out! |
