OK this song is all power chords!
(I love this song)

This is the beging song. Both guitars play this.

----------------------------------------------------
-----7----------------------------------------------
--8--8----------------------------------------------
--6--9--9--11---------------------------------------
--------7--8----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------

The strum pattern goes Down Down, Up Down Down, Up Down Down, Up Down Down

The chourus is pretty easy and fun to play.

--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
-----4-------------4------------------------
--2--2--4--6----2--2--4--4------------------
--0-----2--4----0-----2--2------------------

For the strum pattern listen to the cd (Wire).

In the verse there is a fast struming pattern. You need to alternate pick.

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
----------8------------------6---------------------------
--6-6-6-6---6-6-6----4-4-4-4---4-4-4------------6--------
----------------------------------------4-4-4-4---4-4-4--
---------------------------------------------------------

------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
----------6-------------
--4-4-4-4---4-4-4-------
------------------------

This is a awsome song. Between 'Til' the day i die and Come on back
to me I dont know which is better.

They played this song with capo 2nd fret live here! I think his vioce was tired though so he was singing lower.

AllForHim2008 - 2006-05-05
there is another way to play the intro but ill have to play them both and compare the two. ill update yall on it.
God Bless. Rock on. Peace
strathero - 2006-09-15
The Intro is

---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
--13-13-13s--16-16-16s--9-9-9s--11-11-11
--11-11-11s--14-14-14s--7-7-7s---9--9--9

Repeat this 3-4 times before 1st verse, once after 1st chorus!!

Good Job though. I Picked this up from watching the LIVE WIRE dvd. If Anybody has any comments or questions, email me at gradeanut@bellsouth.net
strathero - 2006-09-16
I messed up the correction above, it forgot to put in the low E string. The powerchords are on the D and A strings.
romo - 2006-10-02
the intro is either like Thirddayrocks21 posted or play it like this if you want something a little simpler:

---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
--13-13-13s--16-16-16s--9-9-9s--11-11-11
--11-11-11s--14-14-14s--7-7-7s---8--8--8
---------------------------------------
