Detour 180
Hallelujah
Note:This isn't right with the CD, but near enough. Some chords are different
because they work better when I play it in church. You can probably figure
out how it should go anyway way :D The little riff is near enough and goes
pretty much thought the whole song. The song itself is mostly just e’s and
a’s. U have to work out the strum, but it aint hard. I know, this is
shockingly written, but I just chucked it 2getha in a bit

Note: Hold onto the A right up until the chorus

*It sounds really nice when not playing with CD to play a C#m (e.g. in church)

This next bit sounds off, but works any way

Hey there,

Halleujah is played in an alternate tuning E A B E B E. I haven't got time to tab this song out. If you can be bothered working it out this is the best place to start.

Cheers

With apologies to Matt and Morgan, I think this might be a little bit closer. IT is NOT the EABEBE tuning D180 uses, but IS one that we everyday guitarists can play. And Morgs, if this is completely off, then let me say, in my best Napoleon D., "GOSH!"

Hey keith,

As far as standard tuning goes that's pretty good. I did play it once in standard... and it just wasn't quite the same.... but it's somewhat inpratical retuning in a set, so if ya can make it work in standard do it

hey Keith Wilson, "Morgs" is the one of the guitarists for Detour180. He has sat down and taught me this song personally, im pretty sure he knows the right way to play it
keithwilson7 - 2006-03-03
Duh, yeah, I know who Morgs is. Not sure what you're saying?
keithwilson7 - 2006-03-03
Oops, forgot to say, the standard tuning version (the only one I am NEAR good enough to figure out) is played capoed up, so you're actually playing in D, sounding in E, which makes the Suspended and 2nd chords sound a bit better.
