Third Day - Nothing Compares
words by Mac Powell/ music by Third Day
2001 New Spring Publishing, Inc./ Vandura 2500 Songs / ASCAP.
All rights administered by Brentwood Benson Music Publishing Inc.

This is the album version, the live version ends differently, far
too fast at points for me to work out, I’m not up to shredding yet
I’m afraid! I wish good luck to anyone who feels up to tabbing it!
I reckon if you can play that fast you won’t need tabs to follow...

Also, as I’ve worked it out straight from the CD, not the DVD, it might be
slightly wrong in which string is played and that kind of thing. And there
may be some notes I couldn’t quite pick out but I reckon it’s close enough.
Sounds good when I play along anyhow. Enjoy!

Chords: Tab notation:
A – x02220 D - xx0232 ^ - bend up h – hammer on
E – 022100 Bm - x24432 / - slide up p – pull off
F#m – 244222 \ - slide down   - beginning and
                                                         end of phrase

Rhythm Guitar:
clean for first verse, then adding gain:

Verse: Chorus: Bridge:

                                Bm A E G

Lead Guitar:
slight touch of wah:
almost certainly uses a slide. It’s only the times when 2 notes are played at
once that makes me doubt, which may mean it’s in different tuning (DADF#AD?):

hey it looks good...there are a few little spots at the end of the chorus that are missing but they're minor...thanks! -brad

Very good tab! The only thing missing is the riff right after the first verse @.56 of the song, but it wasn't too hard to figure out something close.

I saw Mark Lee playing with a slide on the Come Together DVD. I think his guitar is tuned to: DADGAd. He plays the Chorus like this:

d|------7-----------11--11/12\11--12-12/14------------11-|
A|-5/7-----7/9-9/11-------------------------11/13-11-----|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
