Jars of Clay
Jealous Kind
Album: Who We Are Instead
(c) 2003 Essential Reconders

Since there is barely any guitar in the entirety of this song (if you listen
very closely at the end you'll hear it deep in the background), this is
obviously an adaptation. To my ear, it works pretty well. Your mileage may
vary.

Capo 3

Verse picking pattern (mirrors piano part):
   C Am C
------------------
------------------
------0--2--------
---2---------2----
------------------
------------------

To add a little fullness to the song, you should throw in some other notes and
strum from time to time.

Verse:
picking pattern x 4
A Asus A

Chorus:
C G D Am
C G D Am
C

Bridge:
C G
C G
C G
C G D

Song ends on a G.

Nick- Do you hail from Escondido, CA originally?

Instead of just C, try C/G, and pluck to the rhythm.

(C/G) (Am) (C/G)
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------
-------0-----2-----0------------------
-2-----------------2-----2------------
-3-----3-----0--------0--3------------
----3-----3-----0-----------3---------

This gives you that piano effect. Then keep plucking with the A Asus A.
I just strum the chorus, and the song actually ends on some form of C.

Something happened with the post, and the chords are in the wrong places. Am should be over the third double pluck and the 2nd C/G over the fifth one.

First of all, this is one of the coolest songs of all time, and Jars of Clay Rocks. I also love how this song works great for guitar even thugh there is almost none in the real song. Spot-on chords, too! Good Job!
