how do you tune the guitar into the tuning that David uses? thanks- lorena

take a regular tuned guitar...
hold the 6th fret of the low e string and tune it to the a string (as opposed to holding the 5th fret)

...then do that all the way up the guitar (in other words, tune using one fret higher on the fret board)
