It's tuned a half step down on the Illuminate CD.

Oops...my bad...it's not. But a lot of Illuminate is.
IncuThrice07 - 2004-08-13
I'm pretty sure it's not hammer on's on those real quick parts...it's sweep picking of the chord...except for when it goes to F and it does a hammer on midway through the sweep picking.

I'm pretty sure this song is capoed at 5, playing it G there. I'll try to work off of your guys tabs to make a ptab or ascii tab. All credit will be made to you guys.

Okay make that a special capo. The one supposedly Tim Hughes uses as well. It Capos just A-D-G, or was it A-D. I'll let you know.

I agree with all of that except on the hammer, it's just switching the chords faster than the rest

This song IS played with the hammer ons. And it has no capo on it. There are a couple hammer ons as well, David Crowder does play some strings in succession to make it sound like a hammer on at certain times. I am certain about this. Me and five other guy's in my youth group performed this song a week ago, with all the parts of David Crowder's voice at the end.

I think there are hammer ons and no capo just standard E

There is a regular 6 string capo on 3 and a short cut capo on 5 (the short cut capo covers the a d g strings.. i'm playing it with the cd right now.. it's the right thing..

Everyone keeps putting 5h3...its not 5h3, its a 5p3...you can only hammer if the first number is lower than the second....what i do, i play the E string and go back to the three...sounds much more crisp
