Title: The Nails In Your Hands
Album: Traces of Rain Volume 2
Artist: MercyMe

This song consists of three 'verses' of lyrics that repeat:

First part follows the chord sequence
G G2/F# C D
For all four lines.

Second Part follows the chord sequence
Bm Em
Bm Em
Bm Em
Am D

Third Part follows the chord sequence
G G2/F# C D
just like the first part

Instead of G2/F# you can substitute an Em and it’ll still sound OK.

For a nice touch, use Csus and D2 instead of C and D.

G2/F# in played with:
your first (index) finger on the low E string at 2nd fret
your second finger on the G string at 2nd fret
your third finger on the B string at 3rd fret
your fourth finger on the top E string at 3rd fret

Good chords and all except I have one minor suggestion that G2/F# or whatever that second chord is, I would replace it with Cadd9. (X32033) It sounds much more natural and its easier to switch.

I'm no expert, but instead of D/F# (which is what your G2/F# is also called), I play a G/B there. To me, that sounds more consistant with the recording.

G/B is 020033

sorry, i meant X20033 for G/B
