Yes, it is easier, but Thom plays it the way as stated in this tab. So, if you are going with ease of play, Skeeter's way is the way to go, but if you are going for accuraccy, stick with the one written.

the correct way to play it is skeeters way, well its not completely accurate, i looked in my x2003 book(which has that song)and skeeters got the general idea
